Live Dog Adoption/Return Policy

At Happy Pets Store, we are committed to the well-being of all the dogs we sell out, and we want to ensure that both our dogs and adopters have a positive experience. However, we understand that life circumstances can change. If you need to return or rehome a dog, we offer the following policy:

1. Adoption Return Period

  • We provide a 14-day return period from the date of sale for dogs bought through our site.

  • During this period, if you find that the dog is not a good fit for your home, we will accept returns.

2. Conditions for Return

  • The dog must be returned in good health and under the same conditions as when adopted.

  • You must contact us immediately if you wish to return the dog and provide a clear reason for the return.

  • You will be asked to provide sale records and other relevant documentation, such as medical records, at the time of return.

3. Return Process

  • We may arrange for a rehoming consultation or assist with finding a suitable new home for the dog, but ultimately, the responsibility of rehoming will fall on us, depending on the situation.

  • All return dogs should be brought back to us or to an appropriate rehoming facility we partner with.

5. Health and Behavior Issues

  • If your dog develops serious health or behavior issues within the first 60 days, please contact us immediately. We may offer support, advice, or assistance with medical care or behavioral training.

  • If the dog has been diagnosed with a serious health issue or defect that was not disclosed at the time of sale, we will work with you to resolve the situation, including possible rehoming or full refund.

7. Lifetime Support

  • We believe in responsible pet ownership and are available for lifetime support for all dogs bought through our site. If circumstances change and you can no longer care for the dog in the future, please reach out to us to discuss rehoming options.

8. Ethical Considerations

  • We take the welfare of the dogs we rehome very seriously and seek to ensure that they are placed in homes where they will thrive.

  • We reserve the right to refuse returns or rehoming requests if we feel it’s in the best interest of the dog.
